A High-Performance Ownership Ecosystem
As Lead Designer during my tenure at Monks, I spearheaded the end-to-end UX and UI strategy for the Maserati MC20 Owner’s Portal. My focus was to translate the engineering excellence of a flagship supercar into a digital ecosystem that serves a highly discerning global clientele. I ensured that every digital touchpoint resonated with Maserati’s high-octane brand identity while maintaining the technical sophistication required for a seamless owner experience.
Challenge
The Maserati MC20 represents the pinnacle of automotive performance. The challenge was to bridge the gap between the visceral physical experience of the vehicle and its digital counterpart.
The Problem: Existing digital touchpoints often lacked the premium feel and technical agility of the vehicle itself, leading to a fragmented customer journey for new owners.
The Goal: Create a sophisticated digital portal that provides immediate utility and exclusive value, ensuring the digital experience is as refined and responsive as the MC20.
Insights
To align the portal with both business objectives and the expectations of luxury car owners, I conducted a strategic deep dive:
Brand Alignment: Analysed Maserati’s visceral brand DNA to ensure the UI reflected the “high-performance” nature of the MC20 without sacrificing usability.
Stakeholder Orchestration: Collaborated with cross-functional teams at Monks and Maserati to harmonise marketing objectives with technical feasibility.
Customer Archetypes: Developed insights into the needs of a discerning customer base that demands instant access to technical data, maintenance and exclusive brand content.

I implemented a multi-layered design strategy that focused on technical literacy and brand harmony:
Experience Strategy: Designed a seamless onboarding and navigation flow that allows owners to access vehicle-specific information and services with minimal friction.
Visual Identity Integration: Created a high-fidelity UI that utilizes premium aesthetics, dark-mode optimisation and motion design to mirror the car’s high-speed identity.
Technical Execution: Oversaw the design-to-development pipeline to ensure the portal remained highly responsive and performant across all devices.
