Streamlining Complex Bureaucracy through Intuitive CX Design

Serhat Altin UX UI Product Design - Linkcr

@Monks

During my time at Monks, I led the UX strategy for Linckr, an innovative platform designed to simplify life’s most complex digital arrangements, such as buying a home. My role was to transform a fragmented, data-heavy process into a unified “one-app” experience. By applying a rigorous research and design process, I balanced the high-level logic requirements of the platform with the need for an approachable, user-centric interface.

Challenge

The primary obstacle for Linckr was the inherent complexity of life events that involve multiple stakeholders, sensitive data, and various third-party tools.

The Problem: Traditional processes for managing significant digital transactions are often fragmented, requiring users to navigate multiple platforms and manually manage sensitive documentation.

The Goal: Create a single, intuitive app where users can retrieve, store and share their data via a secure “digital safe,” making bureaucracy manageable and transparent.

    Insights

To solve for the intricate logic required by the app, I directed a deep-dive research phase focused on data security and user flow optimisation:

Stakeholder Mapping: Analysed the interplay between users, financial institutions and legal entities to identify where data friction occurs most frequently.

User Research: Conducted interviews to understand the psychological barriers users face when handling sensitive data digitally, focusing on the need for trust and simplicity.

Logical Architecture Analysis: Evaluated the technical requirements for tool integration to ensure that disparate services could cooperate seamlessly within the app.

      Action

I implemented a strategic design framework that prioritised technical literacy and clear communication to resolve complex backend logic:

Experience Strategy: Designed a step-by-step digital journey that breaks down overwhelming tasks into manageable actions, reducing cognitive load for the user.

The Digital Safe Concept: Developed the UI for a secure data vault that gives users a sense of ownership and control over their information, ensuring the visual language communicated “security” and “accessibility.”

Cross-Tool Orchestration: Leveraged technical literacy to streamline the integration of various tools, ensuring the frontend experience remained fluid despite the heavy technical processes occurring in the background.

Prototyping & Testing: Utilized an iterative UX process to refine the app’s logic, ensuring that the transition between data retrieval and data sharing was completely frictionless.

        Impact

The resulting Linckr app transformed a high-stress bureaucratic process into a streamlined digital utility:

Operational Simplicity: Successfully harmonised complex toolsets into a single, cohesive user experience, significantly reducing the time required to complete digital arrangements.

Enhanced UX Maturity: Delivered an intuitive interface that makes managing personal data straightforward, leading to high user adoption rates.

Market Differentiation: Positioned Linckr as a leader in the digital life-management space by focusing on ease of use and a “data-first” philosophy.

Business Growth: Aligned technical execution with business goals to provide a scalable platform that supports diverse use cases, from real estate to general data management.
